The Way of the Courtesan: Why Women Must Rise
Last night, during one of my yoga classes, a gentleman commented that there were never any women present. He was right. With the exception of one woman whose husband brought her to me, my classes are full of men.
And this observation stirred something I have been noticing for a long time.
Women are not showing up.
It isn’t because they don’t need the work. It’s because many believe they already know what they’re doing in love, sex, and intimacy. When dissatisfaction shows up in their relationships, it’s easier to assume the fault lies with men.
But when I speak out against violence in the bedroom, I’m met with resistance. Why? Because for too many, violence has become the crutch. The shortcut. The way to avoid presence. Flooding the body with cortisol and adrenaline, mistaking the chemical high for ecstasy.
But that isn’t intimacy.
That isn’t healing.
That isn’t love.
The Uncomfortable Truth
Too many women are showing up in bed numb, silent, and disconnected. They want Kings — yet Kings are not looking for average. Kings are seeking Queens. Actualized Goddesses. Women who know their own power, who open and radiate presence, who can meet them as equals on the throne of love.
And yet most women are never taught their anatomy. They are not shown how to touch themselves with reverence. Instead, they absorb the distorted patterns of an industry that parades sex without love, without awareness, without truth.
The result? Pain. Numbness. Disinterest in intimacy altogether. And a cycle of blame that keeps women from seeing their own responsibility.
The Call to Responsibility
Ladies, we need to step up.
It is not enough to busy ourselves with distractions, to keep waiting for “someday” when there’s more money, when life is easier, when we finally have time. That day never comes.
If you don’t create space for your awakening, it will not happen. Not by chance. Not by accident.
We must unlearn what has kept us numb.
We must reclaim our bodies as temples, not battlefields.
We must learn the true art of ecstasy that comes from presence, devotion, and awareness — not from violence.
The Way of the Courtesan
This is why I birthed The Way of the Courtesan.
Not as performance. Not as an archetype for men’s desire. But as the ancient art of a woman’s power.
The courtesan is the woman who knows herself. Who claims her sovereignty. Who radiates so deeply that her very being is worship.
She is not average.
She is not numb.
She is alive.
This is what women need now. Enough of the excuses. Enough of the violence. Enough of pretending.
A Final Word
Beloveds, it is time for us to rise. Not only for the men we love, but for ourselves, and for the healing of the world.
The Way of the Courtesan is the path for women ready to remember their power, to embody their erotic truth, and to become the Queens that Kings will cross oceans for.
