Contrary to popular belief, being a Courtesan is not about being a highly paid prostitute. What it did mean, is that these women had the freedom and authority to choose who they wanted to have encounters with. And because of that, they were painted as prostitutes in an attempt to discourage other women from following the path to their freedom. The Courtesan knows that she is solely responsible for bringing happiness and pleasure into her life. Courtesans are pure magic! They are the envy of the town, and the exquisite inspiration of the improbable made possible.
We will focus on mindfulness practices, walks, talks, flirts, dancing, pleasure and passion practices, and so much more.

For most women the model of the world looked like find a great guy, get hitched and have babies. Somewhere in there your happiness is supposed to be solidified except it’s not. The idea of being owned as property as a woman has been around a lot longer than I care to mention.
What I can tell you is this. A Courtesan is a bad-ass bitch. She came from squalor or damn near nothing. She found her way through life, and got educated (something that was illegal for women to do for hundreds of years) and owned land.
They had their own homes, their wardrobes and suitors to fit their desires. What they weren’t doing is sacrificing their blood, sweat and tears to make their partner and children happy. Nor were they depressed or chronically exhausted from being pinned in matrimony. Divorce could get you excommunicated.
Courtesans were artists and yes, they were trained in the ways of love but not just in the ways you might think. A Courtesan cannot truly live up to her blissful reputation of being a free, ambitious woman unless she first knows how to fill her cup. She cannot give desire if she doesn’t know it herself.
What she does know is that her genuine pleasure is the only thing that truly lights up a lover. That means she has to learn how to integrate desire, passion and love into everything she does from tying her shoes to brushing her hair, bathing the body or scrubbing the dishes. The Courtesan knows that she is solely responsible for bringing happiness into her life.
She doesn’t devalue her feelings or dismiss her emotions. She has the support of her other Courtesan sisters. She uses tools to clear years of distress. Remember, a Courtesan is not a woman who is born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She has come from hardship. That hardship shaped her into the woman she is today.
Courtesans are pure magic! They mesmerize, hypnotize and have the power to drop a man to his knees. They are fun, flirtatious and somehow land the best opportunities. They are the envy of the town, and the exquisite inspiration of the improbable made possible.
These workshops focus on building your own Courtesan magic from the inside out. You will shape and chisel your finest self. You will learn what drives your passion, fuels your desires and ignites love in your world.
You will create a world full of light and love with your own radiance. A Courtesan is not incredible because she’s born shining. She’s incredible because she loved herself enough to see her own glow and then found herself to be a star!

What to Bring
Wear comfortable clothing as you will move your body. Bring water and a mat for sitting, moving and stretching. Bring questions as we will address them in class.
